Yellow is an online and book project that saw 52 of the world’s most exciting artists illustrating a whole year of news. To prove that illustration is more than just a medium of pretty pictures, Offlife rounded up 52 legendary artists, allocated them each a week of the year and asked them to illustrate one news story that broke within their seven days. The project has proved that illustration is as powerful as any photograph or piece of writing, and this powerful hardback is truly a celebration of illustration and the artists who’ve made it their own.

Thoughtfully crafted illustrations can convey a point of view rather than being a tool used to transfer information. After a year of dedication and hard work, the Yellow series has been put to paper and launched earlier this month. Contributors include Jean Jullien, Hattie Stewart, Brian Grimwood, Malika Favre, Stanley Chow, Chris SimpsonsArtist and many others.
