We are always so happy to get our hands on something which is so beautifully designed, considered and produced, not to mention the cover that changes colour with heat. We had the chance to interview the graphic designer behind Think In Colour – 380 pages of delicious visual content that takes you on a journey though a world of colour. Hugo Puttaert really shows his skills and expertise as a professor, editor and creative director. We love this book and it has taken prime placement on our bookshelf. Feature

Jake Pardoe, Recent Graduate of Nottingham Trent showcases a multidisciplinary portfolio of Branding, Illustration and Animation projects. Taking an intelligent yet playful approach to his work with attention to detail, Jake Pardoe has some great projects under his belt. Mr Blue Coffee exchange is a small business in which ‘Mr Blue’ distributes top quality Jamaican coffee to customers from his bike. Jake’s identity communicates this friendly independent business perfectly, featuring simple stamped type and abstract illustrations hinting at some bright coffee flavours. other great projects include short stop motion video, ‘Breath’ in which Jakes illustrations come to life. The HangerOne Project is a program of painted aero planes, organised by HangFire – a Bristol based family of artists that create artwork and events/exhibitions with an exceptionally innovative approach to inspire the the graffiti art community. Print Club London are excited to announce the next event regarding their fantastic poster exhibition coinciding with Film 4 and a selection of exceptional artists. In August a film will be aired at the West Wing in Somerset House where participating artists discuss their films, the artistic process and their thoughts on a range of topics. Kelly Angood – The Pop-Up Pinhole Project

Designer Kelly Angood wanted a ‘real’ medium format camera, but knew she couldn’t afford one, consequently she dealt with it the only way she knew how and made one! After setting up a page on kickstarter to gain funding Kelly has spread the world about her beautiful prototype camera (screen printed by the wonderful Joe Vass) that creates amazing pin-hole images and the best thing about it is you make it all yourself! With the project finishing by 1:30pm on Saturday every last donation counts in the hope of developing the project further and expanding into educational workshops for kids and teenagers and the possibility of more exciting cameras. After coming across the amazing 3D ‘Ideas machine’ by Zombie Collective I was lucky enough to meet the friendly fun loving girls behind the Collective who told me all about their exciting approach to both Illustration and Art Direction. The Zombie family was formed when the 5 ladies behind it (Maggie Li, Joely Brammer, Rebecca Jay, Alice Lickens and Frann Preston-Gannon) met at Kingston University whilst studying Illustration and wanted to step into the industry with a fresh and individual approach.
