Beach London | Artcade

posted by Lo Parkin May 27, 2014

Recently east London Gallery Beach invited 6 Artists to produce a piece of artwork inspired by a vintage arcade game for an exciting new exhibition. Cabinets from the ‘golden era’ of coin operated gaming include Pac Man, Galaxian, Space Invaders, Tron, Donkey Kong and Street Fighter II with exhibiting artists including Anthony Burrill, Gemma Shiel (Lazy Oaf), Pete Fowler, Ellie Andrews, Rosy Nicholas and Malarky. To top it all off Beach has encouraged the public to get involved and play on the vintage games themselves keeping a score sheet of the best player per game. The lucky winner at the top of the table will win the artwork accompanying it. The shows ends on June the 29th so there’s still plenty of time to check it out and try win yourself some wicked artwork.
