Owsum officially began in 2008 with its first exhibition in Groningen, the Netherlands. Set up by a group of like-minded artists, Owsum is an art collective that organises art exhibitions, music gigs and other art-related events with its primary aim to showcase emerging ideas by rising talents. Driven by a common interest in underground pop culture, hence, they use light, sound, and visuals with an audience-focused approach to create a wondrous showcase of paintings, collages, screen-prints and handmade posters, touring exhibitions around in order to extend enjoyment of contemporary culture.
