Lane Crawford x Cocurata x BÄST NY | Re/Interpret Season Launch Event

Lane Crawford’s collaboration with art-meets-fashion NYC label, Cocurata have created an exclusive art installation in-store featuring original artwork, sculptures and video from renowned street artist, BÄST. Cocurata’s SS15 ‘Extraction’ collection, shows off a blend of street fashion and artist print inspired garment, whilst taking out art from its general gallery setting. With a fun interactive photobooth, guests could recreate their own BÄST video with large 3-D cardboard comic characters.

“Design is an everyday activity that we all take part in – every time we write a letter or arrange food on a plate we make decisions about colour and proportion without even thinking about it. I think that design has the power to make a big difference, and I hope one day to be able to be part of that.” – BÄST.

BÄST’s past collaborations feature fellow artist duo, FAILE, where they are known for creating the UV spectacular The Deluxx Fluxx Arcade. Displaying a range of colourful silk screen-prints with a kitsch, graphic poster aesthetic flair to recreate a fun and nostalgic installation art piece. BÄST’s artwork is a visual delight that slices up iconic and retro Americana imagery. BÄST’s work takes elements of collage and screen print to create a unique visual identity that stands out with its bold colourful array of post 90s zine meets pop culture inspired print patterns.
