Jeremy Wheeler is a multi-faceted artist, specializing in dynamic graphic art in two and three dimensions. In his 10+ years working in the Southeast Michigan area, he has honed a unique poster style in the gigposter and modern film art world. Through his company Bang! Media, he’s made three appearances at various Flatstock poster conventions — including SXSW 2012/13 as well as last year’s Pitchfork Festival.
Wheeler also has over 15 years of experience in the self-published comic and zine world. His work has also been seen in Esquire and the A.V. Club, both of which have featured his unique brand of comic journalism. A co-founder of The Bang! mixtape dance party, he has guided its visual aesthetic while building a steady audience through 100+ events since its 2001 inception. Wheeler is also the in-house artist for the 2010 Eisner Award-winning comic shop, Vault of Midnight, for which he has provided logos, murals, tattoos, t-shirt designs, and more.
By day he’s held a Content Editor position for the All Movie Guide since 2001, providing film reviews and updating the second biggest movie database behind the IMDb. This Record Store Day, vinyl enthusiasts can find an exclusive Wheeler art print inside Death Waltz Recording Company’s release of Steve Moore’s soundtrack to the 2005 indie horror documentary, Horror Business.
