Play with Misaki Kawai for Tiger

posted by Anna Chayasatit April 18, 2016

Starting on 29th April 2016, visitors to Tiger stores will be met with an extensive range of quirky and colourful everyday items under the banner of ‘Play with Misaki Kawai’ – a new collaborative collection designed to encourage imaginative play for both children and adults. Having exhibited in Malmö Konsthall and MoMA PS1, Japanese multi-disciplinary artist and illustrator Misaki Kawai is best known for her honest, unfiltered approach to art. For this collaboration, Misaki has produced 28 design items which will be available for purchase at Tiger’s 600 stores in 27 countries across Europe, Asia and the US.

Misaki Kawai has her way of creating playful, sincere yet striking visuals. She works with painting, music, sculpture and installations and experiments with materials such as fabric, fur, paper, wood and yarn.

“I’ve been working together with Tiger’s design team for the past year-and-a-half. Collaborating with Tiger has given me the opportunity to share fun experiences with many, many people. I really enjoyed the process of working with the Tiger team and I’m really happy with the results” – Misaki Kawai.
