Kingsley Ifill

posted by Marija Marc December 16, 2016

A few months ago London had a chance to experience Kingsley Ifill’s work in his first solo exhibition named “Stutter”. Inspired by the way we consume images and shocked by the never ending replica, Ifill uses various printing techniques to create one-off prints. Meaningless and not so much images from the Internet get transformed into the analogue style artworks; the majority of which are approached with a meme or an inside joke. Kingsley explores the role of photography and how we’re affected by it. The exhibition had controversial photographs of Kate Middleton, hardcore scene and kink, which were screen-printed for it to look like from the 60s horror films.
