Mario De Meyer | Novelty Waves 3

Created as a series of personal abstract works and the result of many late night experiments, freelance graphic designer Mario De Meyer strays from his signature statement typography, instead creating digital graphics comprised of dynamic lines which perfectly paint a stimulating landscape of hypnotising patterns, in turn evoking an immersive experience.

Beginning in 2014, an initial creation of the first Novelty Waves series was used as a splash screen for Adobe Prelude CC2015, since then Mario De Meyer has delved further into his experiments, detailing increasingly more complex and psychedelic works for Novelty Waves 2 and 3.

Renowned for his celebrated creations regarding typography, with clients such as Adobe, Bloomberg and IBM, the Novelty Waves series successfully translates Meyer’s instantly recognisable aesthetic, embedding three-dimensional elements, the abstract use of multiples and the digital style, dependant on medium and further reinforced when subject to the Novelty Waves striking resemblance to computer cables.
