Serous :: An interlocking display typeface by Formist

posted by Anna Chayasatit January 26, 2015

Formist has just released its recent typeface ‘Serous’ – a liquid-styled type family consisting of four different weights: Brook, Creek, Stream, and River. Founded by artist and designer Mark Gowing, Formist is a place for creatives to share design goodness, exploring contemporary, creative projects whether they traditional, digital, logical or illogical. This typographic series, Serous, is all about rhythm and fluidity. Even though the four styles were based on a set of modular rules and created on a geometric grid , still, they suggest the feeling of liquid and a watery nature, making it perfect for any large-scale prints and/or displays.

Their first poster in an ongoing series entitled ‘Poster One’, designed by Mark Gowing, is now available as a free download for Formist members. To register as their member and own this mind-blowing poster, click here. Now, enjoy the scroll!
