Graham Clark:: Drawn in 1985

posted by Louie Zeegen September 17, 2014

Graham Clark is an artist based in Brighton. He works straight onto paper while experimenting with lines, patterns and colours. What’s mega impressive is he’s never had any formal training beyond art college, no university, and is still able to create characters with such depth.

He says his secret is just to draw enthusiastically every day and draws inspiration from a ‘healthy’ obsession with Harry Potter and Wes Anderson. In the past he’s focused on hand drawn typography and illustrated poetry and has recently refreshed his memory of screenprinting. Graham takes as much interest in the process as the finished product and enjoys seeing a pattern disintegrate as much as seeing it come together nicely.
