If you are following us on our social media channels, you probably might have seen snapshots of our latest publishing project entitled ‘Posterzine’. At first glance, you might find it difficult to work out exactly what it is, yet you might be able to guess from the title that it’s a hybrid zine. Right, to put it simply, Posterzine is a mini-magazine that folds out into an A1 format poster.
We’re living in an era where digital media offer a relatively unlimited experience with the contents inside potentially shifting and moving, still, such content is still stored in the same form. On the other hand, Posterzine allows for greater variation in that regard, offering you an experience that only print can provide.
Posterzine emphasises the fact that the power of print remains undimmed. We publish this monthly publication with an aim to strengthen relationships between the creative industries within the UK and worldwide through a series of crisp, articulate interviews with both up-and-coming talents and established professionals from around the world. Posterzine also represents a refreshing departure from the traditional publishing models; it is a proof that print is very much alive, and indeed thriving.
For this inaugural issue, the Posterzine’s cover has been graced by the work of ‘Eike König’, the founder and creative director of Berlin-based multi-disciplinary design playground 'Hort'. Eike also shares his experience as an official residency at Villa Massimo in Rome via an exclusive interview conducted by the incredibly talented writer and podcaster Liv Siddall.
