Opening its doors for the first time today, Baron and Baroness, the erotic publications successfully seeking to intelligently dissect sexuality through challenging the traditional notions of the erotic gaze, have collaborated with Ditto to welcome you to The Erotic Paradiso Cinema. Calling all Ladies, Gentlemen and freaks in between, the 30 seat erotic cinema and significantly, the last adult cinema in London, will be showcasing a variety of the finest films about sex and sexuality around, whilst stimulating the mind through the conceptual approach of the artistic films on display.
With showings into the evening, audiences are able to view both classics and new releases by the hosts, including Baron & Baroness’ ‘The Last Peep Show in Soho’ by Edith Bergfors and Baroness’ debut erotic pop video ‘Xstasy’ by acclaimed artist Emma Gruner and electronic musician Viva Victoria. The following curated line up includes works from Eloise Parry, Eori Wakakuwa, Oriana Fox, Sarah Baker, Sharna Osborne, Tyrone Lebon, Claire Hooper, Anastasios Logothetis and Monique Bröring.
The line up has been carefully curated to allow the audience to critique what they define as ‘sexy’. Matthew Holroyd, the creative director of Baron and Baroness, states to Dazed, that when considering the line up, he was interested in picking films that were paradoxical, whether it be they were hyper-stylised and constructed or candid and truthful, thus placing them together to reveal a more complex and contrasting curation.
Baron and Baroness Magazine x Ditto will be welcoming audiences to The Paradiso Cinema from Thursday October 27th until Sunday October 30th, with the last showing at 21:25 on Sunday evening. Each ticket ensures one viewing of the screening, free drinks sponsored by CanO Water and Our/Vodka, also a trip to The Paradiso Cinema shop, stocking Baron and Baroness Magazine merchandise, their debut aroma Heaven, popcorn, beverages and hand wipes too. Be sure to pick up your ticket here.
