MC1R :: The Magazine for Redheads

posted by Anna Chayasatit April 8, 2015

Do you know that redheads are one of the world’s smallest minorities? Redheads, or gingers, or freckles, only make up about 2 percent of the global population and what makes them even more special is the fact that there is much of a culture surrounding people with red hair, so many interesting stories you may never have heard of, and this is one of the reasons why MC1R was launched.

After the success of the first issue of MC1R, this issue includes a host of fascinating tales surrounding red hair. Apart from contemporary art and fashion editorials through interviews with musicians and designers, stories about the everyday life, and current events, there are also twenty artists featured in this compilation. The magazine is also organised differently from its debut issue which included only interviews and portraits.

Born out of the idea of getting away from screens, already, MC1R has successfully created a huge network of artists who are working on projects about redhead culture across the world. It is truly a wonderful piece of art, very interesting, informative – something you will definitely grow fond with.
