Wimbledon 2015 kicked off yesterday and suddenly it seems like ‘sport’ has become one of the greatest conversation topics at the moment. Based in New York, Victory is a digest that celebrates the glory and the ignominy of passionate sports players. Set up by a group of like-minded people and independent contributors, Victory is structured around oral histories and personal essays which are told through a selection of beautiful photographs highlighting key moments of dramatic tension in different games. It is a wonderful publication where arts and sport have become inextricably intertwined – definitely something you don’t normally see when you pick up a sports journal!
