The magCulture Shop

posted by Anna Chayasatit December 8, 2015

One of the best pieces of news we’ve heard recently is that magCulture will be opening a physical magazine shop down in central London. We are all magaholics here at People of Print and we just could not hide our excitement when we heard about the arrival of London’s freshest magazine shop that will really deliver. After five years online, the magCulture shop will be opening its doors in real life on Friday 11th December, offering a huge range of the most innovative and creative magazines from across the globe.

No coffee, tea or phone cards. This new magCulture shop will be pure magazines. It will be home to a surprising number of independent titles as well as some of the best mainstream titles and a few rarities from around the world. What’s more, the site will serve as a hub for all magCulture activities, as well as a focal point for London’s independent magazine industry.

“The arrival of the shop reflects the resurgence in innovative printed publications, with a focus on the new independents that have established themselves in recent years. These magazines have grown in reach and many are selling significant numbers online and in specialist shops in major cities across the world.”magCulture.

Launched by Jeremy Leslie, the magCulture website was launched in 2006 with an aim to cover creative and innovation in magazine publishing. Its online shop was added in 2010 in response to requests from readers for access to the obscurer magazines covered on the website.
