Nanna Hänninen

Nanna Hänninen is a Photographic/Visual Artist that lives and works in Finland. Nanna’s work involves mixed media techniques symbolically blending photography and painting to highlight representations of reality. The Artists interesting process involves initially shooting her subjects in colour which she transforms into black and white images reforming the original colours through expressive brushstrokes and splashes of paint. These pictorial interventions cover and emphasize elements of the original image found in the background and reflect upon the spirit of the subject.
