For anyone in New York City this month, here is a really nice show to go and see in Williamsburg at the Pierogi Gallery. Brooklyn based Reed Anderson’s solo show, “the way you look is the way i feel” opened last week and will run to 27th of April 2014. Reed’s work is highly graphic, abstract paintings with collage elements. His work has a celebratory feel, with vivid coloured shapes and gestural movements with give movement and voice to photographic montage. His work also features large and intricate paper cut outs, with seemingly floral inspired patterns, cut out of simple painted backgrounds.
