I was very lucky to have traveled to Japan earlier this month. I came across this fascinating exhibition down in Shibuya, one of the most vibrant neighbourhoods in Tokyo, and was introduced to Yoko Furusho, an award-winning Japanese artist/illustrator who is currently based in the States.

Born in Tokyo, Yoko Furusho has moved to New York to study and start her career as a professional illustrator. Her detailed illustration tells stories of imaginary monsters, mystical creatures and dreamy landscapes. Her work now appears in many renowned publications and features in many other shows across the globe. This current exhibition in Tokyo, Little Christmas, is an original picture book exhibition under the theme ‘The other side of my world upside-down’. It showcases a variety of illustrated objects and prints by Furusho and is on until next week on Christmas Day. Seven days to go!
