BIG BLDG RCRDS — Seattle-based Non-profit Record Label Launch

posted by Marcroy November 9, 2016

Brought to you by the founders of BIG BLDG BASH, a non-profit music festival located in Big Building LLC in the industrial district of Seattle, WA. The focus behind this enterprise is to provide musicians and artists a fair opportunity to be showcased and celebrated, free of discrimination or the typical music festival restraints. Moving forward into 2017, these guys aim to launch a non-profit record label with the same ethos. BIG BLDG RCRDS has a mission to seek out and provide an additional foundation for local artists who are making compelling and meaningful music, providing the artists with pressed vinyls, tapes and quality printed merchandise (by us), promotional video content and bookings that are free of binding contracts that leave artists locking in for multiple album cycles or in debt to their label.

This campaign is for love music, art and belief in the power of community-based collaboration — launching with two full length vinyl LP releases from two incredible Pacific North West artists through a crowdfunding campaign. Take a moment to listen to ROY RODGERS & EASTERN SOUVENIRS.

BIG BLDG RCRDS have pulled together a fantastic team of illustrators, designers and manufacturers to produce their vinyls and merchandise. We will be hand screen printing exclusive BBR t-shirts and limited edition poster prints for each music artist, with illustrations by Jordan Kay and Connor McPherson. Cascade Record Pressing, the Pacific Northwest’s only 12 inch pressing plant, is slated to press 500 copies of each record to colored virgin wax with lacquer and mastering being done by Adam Gonsalves at Telegraph Mastering in Portland.
