The Print Room is a new creative space in the heart of the Manchester’s Northern Quarter, providing print courses and studio hire. They offer a well equipped studio with 7ft x 5ft print bed and exposure unit for up to A0 silk screens, within a clean, contemporary and professional environment to give you everything you need to create your print projects. Led by leading printmaker Sarah Hardacre, courses are one-to-one or in small groups of up to four people, meaning you get plenty of individual mentor time focused on your individual print projects. Each course is tailored to your ideas, helping you to realise your own creative projects. They work in partnership with G.F Smith Paper along with Fred Aldous craft store to ensure they can provide every possible type of paper and material you could need.
The Print Room is an eco friendly studio, using only water based acrylics, cotton and acid free papers and they recycle all waste from the process of screen print. All of the t- shirts and bags are 100% organic cotton. In addition to their course programme, The Print Room is available to hire, providing all the facilities of a professional photographic screen printing studio. One-to-one technical support is always on hand and The Print Room are always looking to work collaboratively with other creatives and artists in the city to manifest Manchester as a true center of print culture for the North West and the UK.
