Light Gets In

February 3 @ 10:00 am - March 7 @ 5:00 pm GMT

Exhibition showcasing the work of Sarah Sanford and Resnick.

In a time of increasing dis-enchantment, art can spark awe and wonder, re-ignite curiosity, and illuminate new perspectives. A ray of light can also be found in the contemplative awareness of impermanence and the finitude of our time on earth. Acknowledging that such intangible sensations are universal can bring to light what we all have in common as human beings, how we are all interconnected.

Trained as printmakers, Ann Resnick and Sarah Sanford capture the ethereal and transient properties of light through the use of materials such as reflective inks, powdered and sprayed pigments and translucent surface materials, pushing past the two-dimensional surface and inviting the viewer to engage with visual ambiguity. Their works are abstracted visual reminders of life’s uncertainties. They are mysteries to unravel, inviting rumination and reflection on our complex existence.
