Elmo Delmo Posters | Ronny Hunger

posted by Mel Luff June 2, 2015

Ronny Hunger (also known under the alias Comet Substance) is a Swiss graphic designer, screen printer and an active member of the DIY scene. He began designing posters for the small music venue Elmo Delmo in Zurich in 2013.

His technical drawing background is prevalent in his work, and his penchant for collage is undeniable – the images lifted from their original context and used to capture each bands identity.

POSTER

Between 2013 and 2014, Ronny’s eye-catching screen printed posters evolved from advertisements into gifts; becoming collectable pieces of art in their own right and winning a Swiss Design Award in graphic Design.

Showing the ever present links between the independent music scene, graphic design and self-publishing; this year, in conjunction with Berlin based screen printing duo Palefroi (Damien Tran and Marion Jdanoff) the series has been published and printed into a book.

The screen- printed book is limited to 100 hand printed editions, reproducing the series of posters in the same method in which they were originally created.
