posted by Anna Chayasatit March 4, 2016

Preparations are well underway for KALEID 2016 and after five years in London, the annual KALEID conference & book exhibition will be landing at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO) in May. The KALEID editions is an exciting and impressive initiative focusing on distributing the best in European book design and working with leading global institutions to conduct academic research. At the moment, they are seeking to attract both emerging and established visual artists and designers to submit their work with a chance to be showcased amongst the best art books of 2016.

This year’s festival serves as a curated exhibition and academic seminar, and good news is, they will be teaming up with “This Is Tomorrow”, a contemporary online magazine set up to become a comprehensive archive of contemporary art, to live stream the seminar to their global audience. Three artists and publishers selected from the 2016 collection will also be invited to present their self-publishing practice and engage in a round-table discussion in order to address issues and discuss the ever-expanding field of contemporary publishing.

KALEID editions annually selects no more than forty books from hundreds of submissions sent by artists across Europe. The deadline for this year’s submissions is on 31st March 2016. For more information on how to submit your work and the seminar, please visit their website.
