Beatriz Costo | Two Suns*

Beatriz Costo is a graphic designer based in Madrid, Spain, and had previously studied psychology and worked for several years in Human Resources, before making her switch to the creative world. Having always had a passion for design thanks to typography, the variety of materials available, the acute attention to detail and constant space to learn, Beatriz decided it was time to redirect her career.

Although Beatriz admits that technology and the digital world is an essential tool throughout the production of her work, she understands the value of craftsmanship and always takes pleasure from creating works with her own hands.

Her latest project begun at a time when her life was due take another change in direction, becoming a mother of twins. With impending motherhood, Beatriz began an illustration project titled ‘Two Suns*’ inspired by her current emotions and feelings, giving her experience a platform, and a voice. Further down the line, she compiled all the illustrations created during her children’s first year of life and produced a publication, which we have featured images of so that you are able to share Beatriz’s experience too.
