As individual as their customers, Bureau Mitte are a design agency and graphic design studio based in Frankfurt, Germany, producing design solutions for both print and web. They pride themselves on their ability to produce well printed outcomes with a high quality finish, as well as having a strong use of good materials, and an eye for unique and unusual details.

Bureau Mitte’s latest project is titled “Destinations”, and they were responsible for developing the editorial design, as well as creating the concept for the print finish and binding of the publication for their client Christian Engels, who is a photographer also based in Frankfurt. “Destinations” compiles the photographs which Christian took during his time travelling around the world, visiting many places and countries with Lufthansa company. The design of this publication picks up on various elements from the corporate design Bureau Mitte made for Christian. As you flick through the pages you’ll notice the use of the colour red on multiple transparent pages, technical drawings, coloured bars and the of course the conspicuous binding.
