Hanna Konola

Hanna has just been commended with one of this years YCN Professional Design Awards, and its not hard to see why. Her packaging design for Swedish deli, Fika, features designs as charming as all of her other work. Delicate choice of colours and shapes give her work a Matisse feel, but definateley with her own stamp. Experimenting with design and colour, gives her one fun portfolio and I love her work.

A great example of the playful style to her design is a recent publication called ‘From Hana to Hanna, From Hanna to Hana.’ The collaboration between herself and designer Hana Akiyama meant each page alternates between the designs of each designer – a nice way of bouncing ideas back and forth, which has now been published printed in a limited edition of 300 books. Lovely.
