Finnish artist Riika Sormunen creates beautiful illustrations with the finest attention to detail. Her patterns and style are clearly inspired by her background in fashion design, but beneath the surface her illustrations often hold more sinister themes. Her work has been featured in leading newspapers from The New York Times to The Guardian, as well featuring as a top 10 selected artist at Pick Me Up 2012.

You should get your hands on your own copy of her work, Rikka has released a large A2 catalogue. Limited edition of 2000 copies, hand-numbered and on quality sustainably sourced paper, the 22 prints can be enjoyed as a set or opened out as stunning A2 prints. I love her.
