Tom’s Etching Studio

posted by Hannah Dawson September 10, 2015

Tom’s Etching Studio is a brand new print studio opening in Peckham, London this September. This studio is the first of its kind dedicated to large-scale Intaglio (etching + engraving) and Relief (lino + woodblock) printing, as well as exploring guerrilla printmaking such as cardboard printing, pasta maker printing and any other fun and unique techniques that you can think of.

This studio has plenty to offer, covering a variety of your printing needs and levels. If you’re already an experienced printer you are invited to become a member of Tom’s Etching Studio which includes unlimited access to the studio and its facilities, support from the studios technicians and the environment to experiment until your heart is content. For those of you who are beginners or fancy refreshing your traditional printing skills, then there are plenty of workshops running on a regular basis, so there are no excuses!

Bespoke printing services are also available for artists, businesses, weddings and other occasions.

In keeping with the DIY themes of Peckham’s rapid gentrification, the Press is a gritty steel fabrication designed and constructed by artist and founder Thomas Moore.

The launch is on Friday 25th September 4-6pm at Tom’s Etching Studio, 48-50 Blenheim Grove, Railway Arch 229, Peckham, SE15 4QL. You will be able to check out the studio space and try your hand at some monoprinting – we’ll see you there.
