Posterzine Issue 56 | Femme Type

Produced in partnership with Foilco., our very special 56th issue of Posterzine™ features FEMME TYPE; a platform founded by Amber Weaver that celebrates the work of womxn in the type industry. Posterzine is People of Print’s monthly publishing project that takes the form a mini monograph magazine, uniquely folding out to reveal a gorgeous A1 format poster.

Covering all forms of type including type design, 3D, kinetic type, type-sculpture, lettering and more, FEMME TYPE found their success with the publishing of their book in July 2019. They have since continued their mission of increasing recognition of these talented creatives who find themselves in a male-dominated industry.

FEMME TYPE’S projects have included curating the typefaces in issue #23 of LOVE Magazine, as well as contributing a t-shirt design to Everpress’ Type in Focus campaign. Issue 56’s stunning A1 ‘BANG’ poster was designed by My Name is Wendy Studio, and this issue, unlike others, includes a valuable list of established womxn from their network of creatives. Inside one can find their direct contact details, social media links and websites. This very special issue also includes an A5 foiled, limited edition print of the poster artwork, produced in collaboration with FoilCo.
