Look Up

posted by Amber Weaver September 15, 2016

Look Up is an online print store and a platform for promoting artists who explore the creative potential of geometry, line, pattern and colour. They launched mid-July 2016 with a collection of 35 exclusive limited edition prints by 15 handpicked artists and designers. Encompassing both well- and lesser-known names, the collection presents exclusive editions by artists from a broad spectrum of creative backgrounds.

The duo that are behind this exciting new brand is Steven Bateman and Rachel Smith. Having graduated in 1998 with a degree in the History of Art, Steven joined the international design studio pentagram, rising to the position of Communication Manager and co-curating their gallery programme. He has since worked as a freelance copywriter, contributed to magazines such as Grafik and Varoom, co-authored Symbol (Lawrence and King, 2001) and worked on research projects for the Central Saint Martins Museum & Study Collection. Rachel is a founding creative director at design studio & SMITH who created Look Up’s visual identity.
