Established in 2009, Colophon have grown into an international, award-winning type foundry based in London and Los Angeles (US). By creating and distributing high quality, retail and custom typefaces for analog and digital media, each font is carefully considered regarding its technical and aesthetic value. A recent project entails a limited edition publication of the extended, expanded and upgraded Aperçu Specimen, including overviews of both language support extensions and new cuts in Black, Black Italic and Mono Bold. Presented in a 36 page singer sewn book, each page reflects a clean, functional aesthetic similar to the design traits of the typeface. Embedded within its pages feature the original overview of the Aperçu family including a short essay explaining the concept and ideas which led to the creation.
