The March Issue | novum

For those who aren’t familiar, novum is a monthly magazine featuring the best in contemporary graphic design, illustration, photo design, corporate design and typography. In addition to showcasing the worlds leading creative design porjects novum also sheds light on new talents and the latest trends. Presenting a balanced mix of visions for the future and state-of-the-art design this beautiful publication aims to inspire all creatives in the world of international graphic and communication design.

For the March issue of novum, the team have honed in their focus on the theme on illustration, and to top on all off they’ve designed and screen printed 12,500 completely unique front covers! Their partners in the production were J.E. Wolfensberger AG, the fine paper specialist Römerturm and designer Marcus Kraft.

Working closely with Swiss creative Marcus Kraft, their creative process entailed four different motifs exposed in the conventional way, but during the printing process itself, Kraft continued to work on them. Taking inspiration from classical lithographic printing techniques, a limited edition series of art prints of the cover motif were also produced in conjunction.

To win one of these fabulous prints, readers can be entered into a competition by simply snapping a picture of their own personal copy of the March issue of novum, post it at #novum-magazine and send the editors (verlosung@novum.graphics) the link by 10 March 2017. Then their names will automatically go forward to the prize draw. Inside the cover novum readers can look forward to an international line-up of exceptional illustration talent, plus a world tour of graphic design taking them to Japan (Studio Ouwn), to Edgar B?k in Poland, Violaine & Jérémy (France), Rosendahl (Germany) and PFP Disseny (Spain).
