POEMET

POEMET is a new print and textile brand, founded and designed by Michal Lifshitz; a graphic designer and art-lover. By establishing POEMET, Michal fulfilled her lifelong dream of creating her own brand that emphasises and brings together her love for different design fields.

The name POEMET is inspired by a Hebrew word that means ‘The Heartbeat of a woman’. The designs echo Michal’s heartbeat and her belief that “no matter what life will bring the heart will continue beating, ever changing and never still. After each obstacle there will be light and colour, and there will be singing.” The brands motto is Your Life’s Experiences are Poetry in Motion.

Michal’s designs are a graphic interpretation of evolutionary processes in the human body and nature. Looking into microscopic cells, textures, and shapes, the pieces capture the essence of the flow, movements, and growth in a designer’s eye and mind.

The computer and hand illustrated patterns of POEMET are carefully digitally printed and sewn on 100% soft premium silk. It is a slow fashion brand; the timeless pieces that are created to last a lifetime are designed and printed in small quantities in the United Kingdom.

Michal’s first collection of silk scarves, titled In the Beginning, is a bold exploration of abstract patterns and shapes, using unique colour combinations that are designed to look different in every composition worn. The designs are intended to appear as almost alive and moving, as if living organisms.

POEMET’s scarves are chic and artful, and can be worn as an extravagant piece of jewellery or as an everyday accessory, looking fabulous in every way.

Alongside some exciting collaborations in the pipeline, Michal is also working on expanding her designs to include more scarves and many surprising and unique items in the future.
