Artist Eunjoo Lee creates an assortment of fantastical work using a distinct bright colour palette often portraying dark and complex underlying themes. Eunjoo is from the city of Seoul, Korea and studied at Hongik University and also completed her MA in Illustration at the renowned Glasgow School of Art.

Eunjoo’s diverse range of work covers various different subjects including fantasy, witches, mythology and also delves into issues regarding the dark web and capitalism. Her work is often heavily focused on the idea of utopia and dystopia within our modern day society. Eunjoo’s projects are informed by her extensive and carefully considered research with her gorgeous character illustrations often portraying messages and that help to tell her stories.

This talented artists otherworldly designs incorporate strong textures fused with contrasting colour palettes. Her style is easily distinguished and creates a series captivating imagery and pieces of design. Eunjoo enjoys experimentation with different mediums which range across mediums of digital, hand drawing, textile design, printmaking, publication design and even paper costume design.

Eunjoo is multi award winning and quickly gaining international recognition for her work. She has picked up awards including New Talent, American Illustration 25 and the AOI World illustration award. She has also recently exhibited her work at Somerset House and Print Club London.
