American artist Martincic lives and works in Columbia, Missouri, and is immersively interested in environments associated with water, (eg. pools, shower stalls) and how we relate to these spaces and the various forms of privacy they offer. She explores these interests through an impressively broad range of traditional print techniques, from monotype and 3 plate etching with aquatint to relief methods and lithography, across both huge and tiny scales. Ultimately, her quiet calming prints celebrate longing and isolation, and perhaps the honest beauty of the everyday.
