Max Siedentopf: Hot Gucci Models

posted by Robyn Pitts January 22, 2020

Ever wondered how hot models really are? Who’s the hottest? Who’s the coolest? Max Siedentopf’s new series Hot Gucci Models aims to shed some light on these questions.

Max is a Namibian-German visual artist, publisher, director at RiffRaff, co-founder of Ordinary Magazine and creative director and partner of KesselsKramer. Currently based in London, Max grew up in Windhoek, Namibia and continued to work in Berlin, Los Angeles and Amsterdam.

Hot Gucci Models is a personal series shot last year whilst Max was working on another project. The photographs were taken using a heat vision camera where the camera is pointed at a person and one can immediately see how hot they are. The project challenges our preconceived notions of beauty with tongue in cheek humour that calls us out when we hear and imagine the term “hot models”. “In the end, you can be just as hot inside” concludes the artist.
