Njideka Akunyili is a Nigerian born US based Artist. After graduating from Yale and being selected for the Prestigious Studio Harlem residency programme in 2011/12 her incredible talent has been gaining her a loyal following putting her firmly on the radar for major collectors and museums. The Artists stunning mixed media imagery combines acrylic, charcoal, pastel and pencil with collage addressing her ‘internal tension’ between her ‘deep love for Nigeria and appreciation of western culture.’
