Cox & Grusenmeyer / dUb

posted by Louie Zeegen May 6, 2014

Antwerp based duo, Ines Cox and Lauren Grusenmeyer who go by the name of Cox & Grusenmeyer have worked together since finishing their studies at Sint-Lucas Ghent.

Their later project, a poster and flyer for ‘dUb’, a dance performance, is something to behold. The performance features 14 dancers and was inspired by the ‘dubbing’ technique used in movies. To mirror the notion of how these ‘dubbing’ techniques work and effect the audience, Cox and Grusenmeyer have made visual diagrams for the dancers choreography.

As the designers say themselves, the poster became the stage with simple dance instructions and patterns for movement. They also decided to use the design for the scenography too, making the whole project cyclical in nature.

The end result is beautiful to look at it and is so intertwined with the performance it is advertising.
