TOILETPAPER Magazine

posted by Hannah Dawson January 27, 2014

TOILETPAPER is an ambiguous editorial project founded by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari in 2010. This picture based bi-annual publication explores the possibility of the images being able to live beyond the pages, with no text throughout the magazine other than the list of contributors, the images are left to speak for themselves and create their own surreal narrative from one full page spread to the next. The front covers of Toilet Paper are fearless and most certainly unforgettable, making a statement from the outset.
With images ranging from the fantastically strange to the scandalous this publication creates an experience that will make you think twice.

“The magazine springs from a passion/obsession that Maurizio and I have in common. Each picture springs from an idea, even a simple one, and then becomes a complex orchestration of people who build tableaux vivants. This project is also a sort of mental outburst.” – Pierpaolo Ferrari

TOILETPAPER’s Maurizio Cattelan, Pierpaolo Ferrari and Micol Talso have collaborated with Kenzo for the Spring/Summer 2014 campaign Giant Fish, waves.
