This pattern design is the latest fashion related project from Prague-based graphic designer Mario Carpe. He was commissioned by La Muda Club, a company that changes the traditional way male underwear is purchased, to create an eye-catching print for one of their releases. La Muda provides clients with high-quality underwear by subscription, made in Spain, surprising them with new designs and different artists every time.
The pattern design, named Voyeur, is based on eyes of different styles, designed with the aim to create underwear that catches all of the attention. Mario explains; “The eyes and the way someone looks are very inspiring because probably is the most communicative part of the human body. For me, the eyes are the gate to the soul, although in this case they are surrounding the entrance to another part.”
The pattern design was created from scratch, starting with pencil and then digital work using a MacBook Pro and the Adobe Creative Cloud. Mario offered different options regarding the colours, but the purple background was the winner. Despite being a digital work, he applied a certain effect to the design so that it would not lose a manual look.
