Labelled as a studio which offers ‘a creative and considered approach to graphic design and art direction’ Intercity have launched their latest graphic design based project titled ‘Tread—Sneakers’. If you have already heard of Intercity then you’ll know they have a great love of all things bike-related, and in keeping with their interest in sports they have recently expanded their attention to the ever-evolving culture of sports footwear. Extending the concept of the studio’s initial tyre-themed ‘Tread’ print series, (which featured track marks and imprints left behind by a variety of bike tyres), they have produced a fresh series, exploring shapes and patterns which can be found on the outsoles of sneakers.
As a collection of six graphic designs, Tread—Sneakers examines and abstracts the recurring details from the outsoles of six classic sneakers. Illustrating the soles of adidas Stan Smith, Converse Chuck Taylor All Star, Nike Cortez, Nike Waffle Racer, Puma Clyde and Vans Authentic, can you match the correct sneaker to its corresponding artwork?…
The Tread—Sneakers print series is available to purchase via print-process.com
