Ice Screen Printing

posted by POP Members October 24, 2019

Ice Screen Printing is a new and experimental studio which focuses on the craftsmanship of hand-printed serigraphy. The studio is owned and run by artist and printmaker Rune Fallesen. With a background in Graphic Design and educated in Multimedia Design, Rune was introduced to screen printing in 2014 whilst studying and immediately fell in love with the technique.

Rune has always had a passion for drawing and is continually inspired by graffiti and urban art. He started out working with stencils, and transitioned to experimenting with layers in screen printing in order to open up wider possibilities with his work. In August 2016 Rune opened the doors to the studio and has been producing high quality art prints ever since.

With a love for keeping up-to-date with the latest techniques in printmaking, Rune continues to find inspiration in his daily print work. As Ice Screen Printing is an artist based studio, they are hands-on during the whole printing process. The studio not only produce prints for clients, they also help creatively in the design process of projects. “We have a lot of ideas and love to think outside the box” states Rune.

Ice Screen Printing print on both high quality paper and organic textiles. In a bright studio with lots of natural light, they currently have a manual 6 head, 4 station carousel for textiles as well as a large flatbed vacuum table for handprinting B2 (50x70cm) art prints.

The studio have worked with artists including Malakkai, Jonas Pihl, Simon Fensholm and HuskMitNavn, and have also produced clothing for The Leftovers, Grand Theatre and COPENHELL. With lots of exciting projects in the pipeline, stay tuned for more lovely colours, inspiring projects and amazing prints from the studio.
