Terry Bleu

Run by Hugo Rocci, Terry Bleu is an independent screen printing and publishing house based in Amsterdam which specialises in graphic novels and art books. Dedicated to showcasing world-artists through unique publications, “Terry Bleu” functions as the alter ego of Hugo and his collaborators: “He wants to share his vision of colour, playfulness, naivety with the world”

Hugo first became acquainted with the world of print through a voluntary placement at Le Dernier Cri in Marseille. Working alongside renowned artist Pakito Bolino inspired him to pursue an arts education at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie. After graduating, Hugo made the decision to settle permanently in the Netherlands. Citing a gap in the market, he purchased an atelier space with some former classmates.“Coming from France I always had inspiring people around who were running non-profit publishing houses. There is a lack of independent publishers in Holland so it can be lonely sometimes”.

Previous projects have included Joakim Drescher’s individualistically crafted garphic novels as well as work by Colombian artist Adriana Lozano and American Kevin McNamee Tweed. “I am really happy to publish artists that I believe in and deserve to be out there. Being independent means for me that I can respect the artists’ choices and decisions.”
