Based in the capital of Russia, designer, student and now new People of Print Member Anastasia Sushiling’s journey has only just begun. Shushiling is currently a student at the established HSE Art and Design school and is due to graduate next year. Although still a student, Shushiling is already working at the Omega partnership advertising agency and continues to develop her career and different areas of graphic design and print.
Characterised by arguably bold typography, (which perhaps seems regular to the designer since the Russian language is such a bold and masculine design) we are more used to softer curves of our Roman letters. Sushiling tells us how she loves to experiment using all her abilities that digital and print provide, combining them to create a final project. Her work includes posters, self-printed zines and other printed matter.
The process and satisfaction from the process of manual printing and linocut is what Shushiling enjoys the most about her work. All of her creations are concocted in her home studio where she is free to create, paint and print to her heart’s content.
