Design duo Claudia Carieri and Francesca Errani are the co-founders of brand new independent silk printing brand AH/OK based between Milan and Como. Having recently launched back in May this year, the pair have created a capsule collection of silk kimonos and accessories produced from start to finish in Italy. The collection showcases contemporary bold prints and shapes made with brush strokes, stamps and acrylic paints plus a delicious colour palette, all of which were born from simple scribbles on a large sheet of paper and then translated onto the timeless kimono. Everything was created according to their personal taste and instincts, getting fully involved at all stages of production and not afraid to get their hands dirty. At People of Print we firmly believe getting stuck in with the design process pays off!
So, what was the starting idea behind the brand?
Well, having been close friends and previous workmates the pair decided to go into business together with an aim to “Create something unique that reflects their tastes”. In Como, pure silk and printing details are made with the highest quality so it isn’t surprising that Claudia and Francesca are proud to design, print and create their first production fresh out of Italy.
