Liam Roberts is an Artist and Designer from Cheltenham dedicated to creating balanced and harmonious geometric forms. His creative output covers three main types of artwork; painting, linocut, and giclee prints. Liam’s artworks are inspired by a broad range of topics including natural form, architecture, and mathematics. He also takes great pleasure in creating works with a sense of place that capture environments in their simplest forms.

The biggest influence on Liam’s art is the work of Bauhaus master Joseph Albers, specifically his work in Interaction of Colour. His prints are also a nod to the works of Barbara Hepworth, Wim Crouwell, and Peter Saville.

Liam has been creating artworks for as long as he can remember, but it’s only since he went to university that his abstract ideas started to become fully realised. He studied Graphic Design at the University of the West of England, graduating in 2011, winning several awards along the way, including a Membership to the Internal Society of Typographic Designers and the Best Short Film at the Cornwall Film Festival.

Today, Liam works at one of the leading employer branding agencies as a Senior Designer, collaborating with clients such as Superdry and Pandora alongside many more. He spends the rest of his time crafting and creating artworks with the aim to bring joy to people’s homes. Liam’s background in design helps him to create visually pleasing, carefully constructed, and balanced abstract works that appeal to a sense of order while maintaining an element of playfulness.
