Posterzine™ Issue 45 | Mojoko

posted by Amber Weaver September 13, 2019

Mojoko, also known as Steve Lawler, is a Multimedia Artist & Designer, Creative Director of EYEYAH! Magazine and ‘The Unusual’. His work dives into Singaporean subculture enabling him to create huge (sometimes as big as a house) complex collages that mash trash pop culture with the old and historical, in a range of media from computer programming to animation, drawing to printmaking. The result is not for the tame hearted, Steve’s collages are certainly an unabashed assault on the senses – which we are very excited to feature as our 45th issue of Posterzine™.

Born in Iran, raised in Hong Kong and educated in Europe, Steve’s design background consists of attending the prestigious FABRICA art residency in Treviso, Northern Italy in 2001. Then quickly climbing through the creative industry as an artist, designer, art director and Creative Director. Launching his interactive design career at Diesel HQ, Steve is Creator of the Kult Magazine, Gallery and Studio with his work expanding curation, installation, interactive design and fine art. Having worked some of the most exciting artists, designers and animators around the world, he now operates within a network of over 600 artists under the label Kult.

Grab this copy of Posterzine™ featuring a signature chaotic, colourful collage as the front cover and A1 poster. As always, read our partner MOO’s insight and contribution on the back cover, and an exclusive interview with the artist inside!
