Seán Joseph Brennan is a printmaker and photographer residing in Melbourne, Australia. He attended the National College of Art and Design in Dublin where he studied Fine Art Printmaking; the place where his passion for the medium of screen print began to develop. Drawing inspiration from the Pop Art and Surrealist Movements, Seán was fascinated with the ability to quickly build layers, colours and images through screen printing. His work revolves around documenting his dreams. and rebuilding these scenarios or situations as surreal prints.

After college, Seán was awarded a graduate membership to Graphic Studio Dublin, where he later went on to become a full time member. Here he gained valuable insight in working with printmakers, completing commissions and exhibiting in galleries.

Before leaving Dublin, Seán created prints, tote bags and t-shirts with illustrations and designs depicting his love for the city. These include an illustration of the sea horse lamppost on Grattan Bridge, a design of the lampposts on O’Connell Bidge, and a cheeky edit of Ireland’s best loved pint.

Currently, Seán is living and working in Melbourne, Australia and is hoping to join a studio and continue to expand his knowledge of different print mediums from his new base.
