Here are a community of thinkers, writers, designers and makers. Their aim is simple: to create beautiful and useful things. They don’t restrict themselves to working with just one industry. Often, one team could be focusing on a pitch for a new restaurant, whilst another is working with an array of suppliers to deliver a serveware kit for a gazpacho brand or new stationery for a hotel.

Their work is varied and diverse, with print always at the heart of what they produce. Alex Merrett works in their London Fields studio as Here’s Print Production Coordinator. He has worked in print and publishing for over 8 years and has extensive experience in book printing. At the end of 2018 he worked on Here Design’s first self-published title Missing Marks, a book about all the punctuation points you always suspected you needed but didn’t know existed… until now.

Alex is always looking for exciting ways to work with innovative suppliers and materials. His day-to-day work happens as part of a wider production team called Here Makes, who specialise in using an array of interesting materials, from wood, metal and glass, to the latest breakthroughs in green/eco-friendly packaging.
